Red Balloon Vase via a tactile life blog

Hornsea dish via a tactile life blog

Last weekend was the quarterly Paraquad Sale in Shenton Park. It’s basically a huge warehouse filled to the brim with every kind of second hand goods. I generally head straight for the ceramic and glassware table to see what I find. I managed to pick up this red balloon vase and the little Hornsea Pottery dish ($4 each).

It opens at 9.30am, but people start queuing at around 8.30am and by the time it opens, the line is a few hundred people deep (yep, it’s that popular!) so I suggest getting there early with some friends, a coffee and your $2 entry donation and just waiting it out.

The next sale is Sunday 27 July. You’re welcome.

You really have to sift through piles of things to find the winners.
