Ryan and I stayed at Hotel Vila Lumbung in Seminyak. We managed to find a really great deal online and they even upgraded us to a hut like the one below. It wasn’t an amazing five-star resort like the W Hotel, but we were pretty happy with it’s pool and how quiet it was.
I loved the little parasol outside our bedroom door. I can imagine a few of them at our house.
One restaurant we were told we just had to go to was Mama San. Ryan said he had the best beef ribs of his life and I had the best coconut and lime cocktail. This place is seriously gorgeous so make sure you book ahead. You can check out their menu here.
We didn’t actually eat at The Bistrot (where are the vegetarian options?) but I had to stop in and have a look around. It is such a beautiful restaurant!
Petitenget was just down the road from our hotel and after seeing the pressed tin and decorative floor tiles I knew it was a place I had to try. Yes, I do often base my restaurant choices on the decor.
Ryan loved this shop, Deus Ex Machina. Painting on exposed brick wall always makes me happy.
Bali has so much to offer and we barely scratched the surface. Next time I’d love to stay at The Ubud Hanging Gardens and take in the culture… rather than just the food.
