Textiles / Nancybird

I’ve had a long-time love affair with Emily Wright’s Melbourne label, Nancybird. I love how Nancybird pairs earthy tones with vibrant and modern hints (like the calico and hot pink clutch below). Their range has grown considerably since I first noticed them in an early issue of Frankie magazine and can now be found in heaps of shops in Australia and New Zealand. Even Nina from Offspring loves Nancybird – have you noticed the bedspread in her apartment?

After deciding that owning less but buying better was the way to go, I saved up for months to purchase one of her bags (I was a student so saving for ‘months’ was required) because I needed a bag with screen printed birds on it. I’m glad I made the purchase because almost seven years on I’m still using the bag.

The Design Files have just published a beautiful article about Emily Wright and her partners home. It is actually perfect. Take a look here.
