I recently designed and worked alongside photographer Matthew Galligan to create the 2016 UWA School of Music season brochure. We asked the musicians to bring pieces to the photoshoot that reflected themselves and their musical journey, which Matthew then photographed. It was so interesting to see what everyone brought along and the individuality of each student really came through in their portraits. I just LOVED working on this project as I was able to style the photographs and create the fresh look and feel.
I was recently contacted by Kasey at Little Rosie & Me to design a logo for her ever-growing children’s home-wares business and I jumped on the chance! The Little Rosie & Me product range includes felt ball rugs and garlands, crochet cushions, rugs and garlands (how sweet is the watermelon), handmade dolls, prints, dream-catchers and more. No doubt there is more on the horizon, as Kasey seems to add new products so frequently.
These are a few initial concepts I designed for Little Rosie & Me. Kasey wanted to have a visual representation of the felt ball garland, and for it to be quite pretty.
The fourth option was Kasey’s favourite, but an addition of the garland element was needed. After exploring a few different fonts, colours and shapes, the logo was refined to this whimsical and pretty logo.
