I couldn’t get enough of the beach this Summer. The salty air, sand between my toes and dips into warm waters refreshed me over and over. I’m still in awe at how blue our water is in Perth, and how vivid our sunsets can be. How lucky are we to have all this in our backyard?
I’m writing this mid-February, which basically means that I’ve been having too much fun this Summer. To conquer the never-ending heatwave, Ryan, Polly and I have been spending as much time down at the beach as possible, watching sunsets and catching up with friends.
The sky couldn’t have been more beautiful this night.
Ryan enjoying puppy cuddles at Arrival Hall in East Perth. We purchased the Muuto Dots to go on our bedroom wall (when we finally paint it).
We enjoyed breakfast at Tropico in North Beach. The potato cake is ace.
A little latergram from the David Bowie Is exhibition in Melbourne. David Bowie really is forever.
Moana Coffee became my new favourite spot in the city for an iced latte.
We had drinks at Shadow Wine Bar and enjoyed a few shows at the Fringe Festival, including the exciting La Soiree (go and see it!).

How great is December? It’s packed with fun celebrations; Ryan and my wedding anniversary, my birthday (hello 29!), work finishes for a two-week break, Christmas, new years, and this is all while the sun is out and the beaches are warm enough to swim in.
I spent my spare time making homemade mushroom ravioli for Christmas day, folding wontons, drinking aperol spritz (I don’t have a problem, okay?), taking Polly for walks at the beach, raspberry picking at Vergone Orchards in Dwellingup and going for early morning coffee at my favourite cafes in Maylands; Sherbet, Mrs S and Little Shop of Plenty.
Hope you all enjoyed your Summer break!
