I’m writing this mid-February, which basically means that I’ve been having too much fun this Summer. To conquer the never-ending heatwave, Ryan, Polly and I have been spending as much time down at the beach as possible, watching sunsets and catching up with friends.
The sky couldn’t have been more beautiful this night.
Ryan enjoying puppy cuddles at Arrival Hall in East Perth. We purchased the Muuto Dots to go on our bedroom wall (when we finally paint it).
We enjoyed breakfast at Tropico in North Beach. The potato cake is ace.
A little latergram from the David Bowie Is exhibition in Melbourne. David Bowie really is forever.
Moana Coffee became my new favourite spot in the city for an iced latte.
We had drinks at Shadow Wine Bar and enjoyed a few shows at the Fringe Festival, including the exciting La Soiree (go and see it!).
You can see more of me on Instagram here.
How great is December? It’s packed with fun celebrations; Ryan and my wedding anniversary, my birthday (hello 29!), work finishes for a two-week break, Christmas, new years, and this is all while the sun is out and the beaches are warm enough to swim in.
I spent my spare time making homemade mushroom ravioli for Christmas day, folding wontons, drinking aperol spritz (I don’t have a problem, okay?), taking Polly for walks at the beach, raspberry picking at Vergone Orchards in Dwellingup and going for early morning coffee at my favourite cafes in Maylands; Sherbet, Mrs S and Little Shop of Plenty.
Hope you all enjoyed your Summer break!
I visited the Vintage Christmas Pop-up Shop in Mount Lawley over the weekend to take a look at the beautiful decorations, glassware and other vintage goodies that were on offer. My gorgeous friend Janine searches all year for vintage Christmas decorations at places like op shops, sides of the roads, garage sales and even collects some on her travels around the world. I couldn’t help but pick out a few of the pink baubles to decorate my tree with, and I think I’ll be back for some more in the coming weeks!
Visit the pop-up shop at C2/83 Walcott Street (Raglan Road) from Tuesday to Saturday (10am to 5pm) and Sunday (10am to 2pm).
The wonderful Janine in her shop.
